Karafarin Insurance Co. is the first private insurance company in Iran who has started it's activities in 2001 under registration No.200845, in accordance with the establishment law of Iran central insurance Co., non governmental insurance institutes establishment law and trade law.

Primary capital of Karafarin Insurance Co. has been $140 million that %65 of it is being provided by the company's founder composed of Karafarin Bank, idustrial and building groups and top grade specialists of country insurance industry and the rest %65 is being provided by offering stocks. The total capital if the company has raised to $200 million on 2004.
